Early Times Report Jammu, July 19: A high alert was today sounded on the National Highway in Kathua, following rumors about the presence of three militants in the area. As per police sources, PCR, Kathua, received information that three militants were roaming along the National Highway with weapons. Based on this information, a high alert was sounded and a combing operation launched. SSP, Kathua, Mohan Lal, when contacted said, "Combing operation was launched following the information of the presence of militants and during searches, three suspects, who were spotted near Madhopur, late last night, and identified. All are from Bani area of Kathua and work as woodcutters in Shimla. They were carrying their tools with them which were mistaken as weapons," Mohan Lal said, adding the situation was normal. |
