Bhupinder Singh visited Dewangarh and Sai Villages of Suchetgarh Assembly Constituency and interacted with the Locals/youth of the area. While talking with the locals Singh said there is urgent need to give due and proper attention towards the irrigation tube-wells because 90% of the irrigation tube-wells are non-functional , Irregular power supply is also a major issue of the area , there is always threat of Pak Firing being very close to the international border as such people specially farmers (Kissan) are facing lot of hardships. And if the concerned authorities didn't act timely, then this will give harm to their crops which is the only source of their livelihood. Singh further said that our government has to protect the interests of farming community and it will not be compromised at any cost. It is the farmers who doing such an incredible job of producing, feeding and serving the nation. Agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy. Food security in India rests heavily on the Public Distribution System (PDS) and the PDS itself cannot be operated unless farmers are given enough support so that they can continue to produce. |
