Jammu, Aug 6: Responding to a petition filed by Rajesh Kumar Shawan Regional Director Survey & Land Records ( Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Jammu regarding his pre-mature transfer, J&K High Court Jammu Wing today stayed the Govt order dated August 4, 2014, whereby the petitioner was transferred. While staying the premature transfer of Regional Director Survey & Land Records, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal after hearing Adv Sudershan Sharma appearing for the petitioner observed that yet another instance of pre-mature transfer interestingly by General Administration Dept by Govt order No 861-GAD-2010 dated July 28, 2010 as notified the transfer policy formulated by the Govt pursuant to the cabinet decision 156/12/2010 dated July 27, 2010, which besides providing for a he minimum tenure of a Government employee on a post shall be two years at one place also prescribes an in-built mechanism for pre-mature transfer. Court also issued notice to respondents returnable within three weeks, meanwhile, as ad-interim subject to objection and till next date, impugned Govt order dated August 4, 2014 qua to the petitioner, shall stayed and petitioner shall continue at his present place of posting. Petitioner was posted as Director Survey & Land Records ( Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Jammu vide Govt order No 1402-GAD of 2013 dtd September 30, 2013 and now he is transferred vide Govt order No 834-GAD of 2014 dt August 4, 2014.
