| JJSU extends support to agitating dental surgeons | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 6: Jammu Joint Student Union (JJSU) extended his support to agitating Dental Surgeons Assocation-JK (DSA-JK). Neeraj Singh Langeh, State President JJSU lambasted state government for its arrogant attitude towards the surgeons and announced the unconditional support of JJSU to protesting surgeons. Speaking on the occasion, he said that all the demands put forth by the surgeons are genuine and justified. Hitting towards the negligent attitude of state government he said the strength of the surgeon in the state is 1300 and for the last over six year there has been no fresh recruitment of the Dental Surgeon which has become a matter of concern. Echoing in the voice and concern of the agitating surgeons, he said there is no scope of Dental Surgeons in NRHM Scheme of central government as there is provision of just one post in one district and that too in the five district of the state which is adding to the woes of the surgeons. He also suggested that after reorganization of districts and up-gradation of allopathic dispensaries in to PHCs the government should immediately notify posts in the corresponding PHCs. Further suggesting, Langeh said the government must explore the idea of "Evening Clinics" and recruit Dental Surgeons-so that the dentists and patients-both may not suffer and proper health care is delivered 24 hours a day. |
