| JMC warns Wave Mall staff against throwing garbage in local nallah | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 6: Continuing it sanitation cum checking of sanitation of Jammu city and municipal limits, the Health Officer Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today found staff of Wave Mall Narwal W-49 Jammu throwing the garbage in the nearby nallah thus causing insanitary conditions in the area and thus summoned management of mall and strictly warned by the undersigned to stop this practice immediately. They management of Wave Mall Narwal was strictly warned against this otherwise action will be taken against them under the provisions of Municipal Corporation Act 2000. The JMC authorities have directed the supervisory staff to keep watch on them on regular basis whether they (Wave Mall management) have stopped this practice or not. During the drive the Health Officer JMC also inspected the area of Lakhdata Bazar and directed the supervisory staff on spot to keep the area neat and clean. He also got the drains de-silted which were blocked due to the ongoing rainy season. Shopkeepers of the area were instructed not to throw garbage into the Municipal lanes & drains, rather they must use dustbins for collection of garbage. 'Besides this about 4 Kgs of Polythene carry bags was seized, official said adding, "a fine of Rs. 5000/- was imposed on defaulters." |
