| ERTU demands restriction on vehicles in historic Chowghan | | | Kishtwar, Aug 6: Apprehending the movements of vehicles in the historic ground in Kishtwar popularly known as Chowghan will toll of its beautiful environment, President Educational Reformation Teachers Union (ERTU) Malik Tanvir also appealed the District Police to check the traffic trespassing in Chowghan so as to preserve the beauty and sanctity of this prominent landmark of Kishtwar. In a press statement issued here today, Malik Tanvir stated though there is no denying the fact that the police in past too had tried to check this menace but the same initiative vanishes in air with the passage of time. Urging to maintain effort to preserve the historic ground, he appealed the district police and other law enforcing agencies to take initiatives regarding that matter and bring some permanent solution to stop trespassing in Chowghan ground. Meanwhile appreciating efforts of police in making people aware of traffic streamlining in Kishtwar, he hailed the tireless efforts of District Police Administration Kishtwar for organizing Traffic Awareness Week for not only checking traffic violations but also creating awareness among people in this highly accident prone district. As last, the president ERTU said that organization will continue to work highlighting such menaces and selflessly work for the betterment of the society. |
