JKUSTA resolves to revive agitation | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: A meeting of Provincial Committee of J&K United School Teachers Association (JKUSTA) was held under the chairmanship of Banarsi Dass Sr. Vice President to discuss present education scenario in the state. The meeting unanimously decided to revive its deferred agitation programme and will observe 24 hour long mass hunger strike and dharana in front of Directorate of School Education Jammu on 21st of October 2014 as School Education deptt. failed to release salaries of various categories of teachers working under SSA, RMSA, NPS and KGBV Schemes for last more than six months even some of them more than one year, putting them in financial hardships. While speaking on the occasion provincial President Hari Singh strongly criticized the school education authorities for making process of transfer as profitable industry ignoring the need of the schools and students. He criticized the authorities for making pick and choose adjustments of newly promoted masters and lecturers and making large scale normless premature transfers ignoring all those who have completed their tenure in far flung areas. He demanded high level inquiry in these transfer bungling. |
