Alert HM saved many lives in Jammu on Dussehra day | Pak's kill Indians plan | | Rustam JAMMU, Oct 13: The Dussehra day would have turned out to be a day of major tragedy in the border belt of Jammu, had the ever vigilant and alert Union Home Ministry not defeated the Pakistani deadly plan well before time. A credible report suggests that the "Pakistani forces had a deadly plan to kill a large number of Indian civilians living in villages along the International Border on Dussehra day on October 3 during the ongoing ceasefire violation". The report quoting top intelligence sources said: "Pakistan was aware that most Indian villages close to the border organize major 'Dussehra melas' attended by a large number of people. The Pakistani forces wanted to target these events during the festival which could have resulted in large casualties. However, the Indian security forces got wind of Pakistan's plans and thwarted its attempts by 'heavy tactical retaliation' which put the Pakistani Rangers on the defensive". "We knew that Pakistan had this devastating plan to kill innocent Indian villagers on Dussehra day. But we nipped their plans in the bud by accurate and specific shelling at their 45 border outposts due to which the Pak Rangers had to abandon these posts and hide in the adjoining villages," a top MHA official was quoted as saying. It is a mater of great satisfaction that our intelligence agencies gathered the most crucial information from across the border well before the D-day and alerted the Home Ministry on time. The Home Ministry also deserves all appreciation for the manner it worked out its strategy to defeat the Pakistani deadly kill-Indians-plan on the day Dussehra. Undoubtedly, the BSF involved in countering the Pakistani unprovoked attacks along the International Border from Kathua to Akhnoor performed splendidly by puncturing the Pakistani evil plan. |
