| Environment awareness campaign organized at GMS Thana Bhagwah | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Oct 13: To create awareness among the people living in far flung and hilly area particularly among student community about the importance of forests for survival, a programme was organized under National Environment Awareness Campaign on the theme "Biodiversity Conservation" at Govt. MS Thana Zone Bhagwah.
According to press release, P.N. Bhagat was the Chief guest while C.P. Thakur District Coordinator was the guest of honour.
They also delivered lecture on the Theme "Biodiversity Conservation" Mr Ram Parshad was speaking that WWF & AYC Doda is the Knowledge Partner with ministry of Environment and forest
During the programme a rally of students was flagged off by the C.P.Thakur who impressed upon the people of the region to conserve biodiversity / forests for maintaining ecological balance and green cover of the area.
He asked the people to conserve the rich flora and fauna a local herb (Nag Chhatri) of the area and plant more and more trees. |
