Jammu, Oct 13: Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu Province today held a protest demonstration in support of their long pending demands at Chief Engineer, PHE Complex B.C Road Jammu.
The protest was held under the chairmanship of Shiv Kumar Sharma, the State President of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) and who is also Provincial President of the Water Works (PHE) Employees Association Jammu Province.
The representatives various District of Jammu Province as Kishtwar, Doda, Ramban, Reasi Udhampur, Poonch, Rajouri, Kaihua and Samba assembled in front of the Chief Engineer, Complex B.C Road Jammu and held protest demonstration. The protesters raised slogans against the PHE authorities and the state Government for not considering their pending demands.
They said that Daily Wagers are without salary from 2 months 30 months and they are facing financial hardships due to price rise and the despite assurance given by the authorities the pending wages of the Daily Wagers was not cleared by the PHE authorities. |
