Batote, Oct 13: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Ramban Ashok Kumar today inaugurated a three room school building of Upper Primary School (UPS) at Ladhwal here today. The building was constructed by the Education department at a cost of Rs.7.79 lakh under the Sarva Siksha Abhiyan. While addressing the audience Ashok reminded that during the regime of former CM,J&K GN Azad and now the coalition government the people of Batote were immensely benefitted by the formation of new Ramban district, Batote tehsil, inclusion of Chakwa and Dharalta villages in the Backward Area category, sanctioning of a Sub-Centre at Chakwa village and the upgradation and construction of several new schools under RMSA and SSA. He underlined the need of better infrastructural facilities to the students for better results. He assured that as soon as funds under CDF are available to him he would sanction 50 desks for the school and directed the Incharge ZEO,AR Malik to take up the matter with the Youth Services and Sports department for the construction of a ground with a boundary wall in the school. Incharge ZEO,Batote, ARMalik, Headmistresses of Ladwal and Chakwa schools Kanchan and Bhavna Sharma respectively,Headmaster Middle School,Batote, Kanwerinder Singh, students, teachers, local Sarpanch Jagdish Chand, Panches and prominent villagers besides the Block Congress President, CL Goswami, senior Congress leaders S.Janak Singh and S.Preetam Singh. |
