J&K Chief Justice constitutes committee to monitor relief work

Jammu, Oct 13: Jammu and Kashmir High Court Chief Justice has constituted a committee to monitor relief distribution among the flood affected people which comprising of representative of government of India, a representative of government of Jammu and Kashmir, President of Bar Association of Jammu and President of Bar Association, Udhampur with Sr. Registrar, High Court of J&K as its convenor.
According to press release, this committee has constituted on the plea of the petitioners before the Supreme Court which include J&K National Panthers Party and others.
The committee has been authorized to monitor the situation and distribution of relief etc. to the flood affected people in 20 Districts of J&K, 10 from Kashmir Valley and 10 from Jammu Pradesh.
The committee in its first interim report which was signed by four members as the representative (Secretary, Relief Commissioner) did not choose to sign the report. The interim report is attached.
