Jammu, Oct 13 : Students of several Departments of Jammu University Join National Students Union Of India (NSUI) here today in the presence of Amit Pathania, National secretary NSUI and Incharge J&K was present as the Chief Guest along with Uday Bhanu Chib , Former State president, NSUI at Jantar Mantar in the Jammu University Campus . While addressing the new entrants, Amit Pathania said NSUI is today, not only India’s, but one of the world’s largest students’ movements. We represent each and every student of this country. We pursue an inclusivist, pluralist and a socialist agenda. The premiere students’ body of India represents the hopes and aspirations of millions of India students, irrespective of their caste, creed, regional, religious or linguistic identities. Speaking on the occasion, Uday Bhanu Chib threw light on history of NSUI, which is the largest democratic students’ union of the world and had been founded by Late Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi by amalgamating Kerala Students’ Union and West Bengal Chattra Parishad on April 9, 1969. Neeraj Kundan, State president said that the NSUI takes the pledge to work for the betterment of the student community in the future also and will maintain its legacy. He said that NSUI will organize a host of activities in future which will benefit the students of the State in a larger interest. The prominent NSUI activists, who were present on the occasion, included Ajay Kumar & Choudary Naseeb Ali (National Delegate, NSUI) , Kaamal Magotra & Abhijyot Singh (State Genera Secretary, NSUI), Nitin Bakshi (Jammu University President, NSUI), Sunny Parihar, Nishant Gupta ,sehdev,Abhisekh ,Prakash Singh and others. |
