Chowdhary accuses successive regimes for neglecting Suchetgarh | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: The independent candidate from Suchetgarh constituency B L Chowdhary today lashed out at the state government and local MLA for neglecting the area on the account of development. Addressing a series of rally in the constituency, Chowdhary, who is a former bureaucrat, highlighted the problems being faced by the border residents and said that the people were fed up with the repeated firing incidents on the border. He said that the elected representatives, who were given mandate by the people over the years, have been failed to come up to the aspirations of the electorates. He said the dilapidated roads and lack of educational facilities especially at college level were the main problems of the people. "The people had been crying for their rights since long but the state administration has always remained a silent spectator to their miseries. No compensation has been granted to those whose land had come under firing range," Chowdhary said. He demanded the border people should be given five marlas plot in the safe zones so that they shift their families at the time of cross border firing. |
