Semis line up drawn in Pawan memorial T20

AKHNOOR, Nov 4: Semifinals position has been cleared with hosts Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor winning the quarterfinals match in the ongoing VIth Pawan Memorial Twenty20 Cricket Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School ground, here today.
Other teams, already placed in the last four stages, are New Challenger Jammu, Street Warriors Akhnoor and Krishna Nagar Club.
Now, in the semifinals, to be played on a later date, New Challenger shall take on Krishna Nagar Club while Singh Cricket Club has been pitted against Street Warriors Akhnoor.
Earlier, in the fourth quarterfinal, played today, Singh Cricket Club registered an outright nine wickets win against DCC Jammu to reach the semifinals.
Batting first, after winning the toss, DCC Jammu bowled out for a small total of 79 runs in 14.1 overs. Pawan Singh and Deepak Magotra could only touch the double figure mark with 16 and 11 runs in their respective accounts. From Singh Club, Rajesh Sharma bowled deadly spell taking away five wickets. Sham Singh Langeh bowled equally well took three wickets while Pankaj Verma and Sumit Rajput shared apiece each.
In reply, Singh Club chased the total making 80 runs in just 6.1 overs with nine wickets in hand. Sunil Sharma made highest 22-ball 43 runs while Sumit Rajput contributed 19-ball 32. The only wicket lost by Singh Club was taken by Mehta.
For his five wickets haul, Rajesh Sharma was named man of the match. Today's quarterfinal officiated by Sagar and Rajat as umpires while Lucky was scorer.
