| BSF jawan shoots self, H/C charred to death | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 4: In two different incidents, a BSF jawan committed suicide by shooting himself with his service weapon in a bunker at village Kothey in district Kathua while a head constable IRP was charred to death here on Tuesday when a fire engulfed a barrack of IRP in Kishtwar .
As per police sources, a BSF jawan identified namely as Niranjan Bahu Balendera s/o Darshan Bahu Balandera of Odisha, presently posted in 97 Battalion, shot himself with his service weapon in a bunker. After receiving information Rajbagh police taking cognizance have registered a case in this connection and started inquest proceedings u/s 174 CrPC. Meanwhile, in a tragic incident, head constable identified namely as Gulshan Mohd, posted with IRP at Kishtwar charred to death in a fire incident when fire broke out in barrack of IRP situated at village Lal Patan in Inder Nagar, Kishtwar.
Concerned police have registered a case in this connection and started investigations. |
