| Seminar on SVEEP organized in Kilhotran | | | Early Times Report
Doda, Nov 4: A seminar on the Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme of Election Commission of India was organized by Social Welfare Department Doda in Government Degree College Kilhotran and Government Higher Secondary School Kilhotran to sensitise and educate voters especially young and first time voters about their voting right.
More than 1000 students were present in the seminar which was addressed by 17 speakers. Three speakers were given prizes by the organizers on the occasion. CDPO Gandoh Dr Mohammad Ashraf highlighted the purpose of organizing such seminar.
District Social Welfare Officer Doda Gias-ul-Haq gave a demonstration about the functioning of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM).
Project Officer ICDS (Nodal Officer SVEEP) Doda Surat Singh briefed the audience about SVEEP and also appealed all the audience to participate enthusiastically in the upcoming elections on 25th of November 2014. |
