Jammu, Nov 4: National Secular Forum (NSF) today stages protest demonstration against recruiting agency Public Service Commission (PSC) and state government, for their failure to fill the vacant posts of college lecturers across the state. More than two dozen protesters assembled on the campus of Jammu University and shouted slogans against recruiting agencies (PSC) and coalition government. Addressing media persons, NSF president, Sukhdev Singh said that it was very astounding to notice that total adhocism prevailed in Higher Education Department, which was curial mockery for the youth of state, as government has failed to fill up over 1600 vacant posts of Assistant Professors in degree colleges across the state. "Higher Education Department had last year written the State Public Service Commission (PSC) for filling up of the vacant posts of the Assistant Professors in the department and accordingly a notification was issued by the PSC in this regard", Singh said. He further said that the file of around 1250 posts of College lecturer have been shuttling from one department to another, it was shown the conspiracy of state government that few months were gone state government didn't interested to fill vacant posts. NSF president Sukhdev Singh further alleged, "Few years back state government had open more than dozens of Degree colleges across the state but till date the colleges were running in Higher Secondary Building and till didn't created separate infrastructure for newly created colleges". Among those who were present in the protest included, Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, Gopal Kumar,JV Singh,Manzoor Amhed,Avtar, Zulfi Singh, Balbinder Singh, Altaf, Joginder Singh, Harum, Anees Charak, Javed Iqbal, Sarvm Butt and Mukhtiar. |
