Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Dec 6: Taking dig upon the sitting MLA from Vijaypur segment for failing to make centrally and state sponsored social welfare schemes operational, former minster and candidate of Congress from Vijaypur assembly seat Manjit Singh today expressed his concerns over the delay of functioning of the Social Welfare Department in Samba. Coming down heavily on the sitting MLA, he said, sitting NC legislator of Vijaypur has failed to fulfill the aspiration of people since the social welfare department remained unchanged with many disparities since last six years. "The schemes which were launched by the Government in Social Welfare Department for the welfare of poor people failed to give benefits to the needed population," Manjit Singh alleged while addressing the series of rallies at Trindi, Badhori and Rajinderpura etc. " Lack of interest by the sitting MLA has landed the department in trouble," he added. "Scholarships for children are not given on time, while the widow and old age pension cases too are lying pending in the department," he said. He said that the complaints made before the public representatives are not solved due to which the department and its schemes suffer badly. |
