Stooges inform bosses to create fear for keeping people away from polls | High voter turnout, failure of its agents frustrates Pak | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6: Unprecedented voter turnout in the first two phases of the ongoing assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, and failure of Pakistan stooges in Kashmir to enforce boycott has frustrated the people sitting across the Line of Control (LoC) in order to create fear psychosis in the poll bound state Pakistan is making all possible attempts to push militants into this side to disrupt the election process. Sources told Early Times that hundreds of militants are waiting on the launching pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to cross over. However, the strong counter infiltration grid and strict vigil maintained by the soldiers on the LoC has foiled the nefarious designs of the Pakistan Army and the militant leaders. Six militants who managed to storm the Army camp at Uri on Friday, according to the sources, had taken the advantage of the dense fog to sneak into this side. "They chose the Army camp in Uri as their target as they were told by their handlers in PoK that if they try to go towards the main town they would be intercepted well before they can execute any attack," sources said. They said the six militants who were shot dead by the Quick Reaction Team of the Army at Uri were carrying food packets with Urdu markings. "The amount of food that was carried by the militants indicates that they were in for a long haul and the evidences which were recovered from the spot point towards the direct involvement of Pakistan Army," sources added. A top official while talking to Early Times said that "Pakistani agents" in Jammu and Kashmir have informed their bosses across the border that decreasing violence levels have emboldened people and fear of gun has disappeared that's why they are coming out in large numbers to participate in the poll process. "Till fear is not there we cannot do anything," sources quoted one of the Pakistani stooges having told his bosses over phone. Sources said that close coordination and synergy among the security forces has broken the back of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. "Militants no more enjoy the local support and the intelligence network created by the security agencies during all these years has hit them in every possible way," sources added. They said, most separatists cooling their heels in various jails too has foiled the plans of Pakistan to disrupt the poll process. "People who could have orchestrated street protests and mobilized youth to indulge in stone pelting are behind the bars. In order to create fear among the people Pakistan is trying to activate the sleeper cells of the militants in the Valley and is heavily relying on violence. However, dwindling local support and young boys not getting enticed has turned the tables on the people sitting across the LoC," sources said, adding, "Pakistanis have realized that if it has to keep on fighting the proxy war it has to send its own men from the other side." Sources said, "There are inputs that in future Pakistan may try its send its regular Army personnel to this side along with the militants as many people in the neighbouring country are of the opinion that they have lost the proxy war which they launched in 1990." |
