Three officers suspended for dereliction of duty

KISHTWAR, Dec 6: Deputy Commissioner, Mohammad Javed Khan today placed four officers including three district officers under suspension for remaining absent from their duties and leaving the station without his prior permission.
As per the suspension order issued by Deputy Commissioner, Chief Agriculture Officer, Saffron Development Officer and Assistant Director Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CA&PD) Department were placed under suspension for violating the circular issued by the government to all district officers bidding them to seek prior permission from concerned Deputy Commissioner to leave the station.
He also placed Naib Tehsildar Pallan under suspension for remaining unauthorized absent from important assignment of attending National Lok Adalat at Kishtwar where several revenue cases were addressed by the concern benches on spot, beside his causal approach in dealing with a court case.
While talking to "Early Times", DC Mohammad Javed Khan said that Chief Secretary has issued clear directions to all the HODs not to call the meetings of District Officers either at Jammu or Srinagar and instead visited the concerned district to address the local issues.
He said that Chief Agriculture Officer along with Saffron Development Officer was required at Kishtwar to address the public related issues beside to be the part of the investigation in a case related to embezzlement in Saffron Mission. He said that AD CA&PD services was required to address the issue of free distribution of ration among the people, beside to deal with fair distribution of ration in government depots.
He said that in case any official found negligent in his duty, his name will be recommended for his declaration as "Dead wood". After placing these District Officers under suspension, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar appointed Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Avtar Singh Chib as inquiry officer. District Treasury Officer Kishtwar, Yasir Hussain will assist the ADDC Kishtwar in inquiry against the suspended officers and Naib Tehsildar Pakalan.
