MENDHAR, : Mendhar Wonder Boyzz defeated Abid Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Press Council of Mendhar, which got underway at OP Hill Stadium, here today. M S Nazki, president Press Council of Mendhar was the chief guest on the opening ceremony of the Tournament, which witnessed the participation of 16 teams drawn from Mendhar and adjoining areas. Senior cricketers Nazim Manhas and Majid Khan were also present on the occasion. The Tournament is being organized under the supervision Farad Ahmed, Irfan Khan and Arjun Kumar. Earlier, batting first Abid Cricket Club scored 96 runs in 16 overs, while Mendhar Wonder Boyzz chased the target easily in 14.2 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Mohd Saleem and Tahir Ahmed were the major contributors with 34 and 25 runs to the total respectively. Mumtaz and Arif bowled beautifully to take 4 wickets each to take their side to home. |
