Jammu, Dec 6: Launching a scathing attack on incumbent Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Jammu West constituency, Chaman Lal Gupta and the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and contesting candidate Daman Bhasin the tall claims of BJP of clean government was merely hoax as their leaders were neck deep in corruption and were least bothered about the issues of masses. Addressing a series of meetings to garner support of public, Daman Bhasin said that the BJP, which claimed to provide corruption less government and to bring all round development across country, should first take a look at their own leaders. "On one hand their (BJP) own party leaders have been leveling allegations over party high command for selling tickets in lieu of money and dumping of deserving candidates and on the other hand MLA West Chaman Lal Gupta is one among 'notorious seven' who sold their votes in elections of Upper House and later faced disciplinary action from party high command", he said, adding that after expelling these MLA's, the BJP once again took back these corrupt leaders in their fold. He further said that BJP's rhetoric of development and corruption free government was merely a hoax and the party was striving hard to gain power by compromising on all their previous stands. He appealed the locals, not to be lured by the false promises of BJP and used their frenchise by voting the PDP, which has a vital record in every sphere of administration and that too merely in the tenure of three years. |
