| Jammu West fight is 'Seva-service' versus Money Power: Shingari | | | Jammu, Dec 6: Accelerating his campaigning in different parts of Jammu West constituency, Surinder Singh Shingari Congress candidate today conducted door to door campaign and held series of corner meetings. While addressing these meetings he said the contest of Jammu west is a contest between 'Seva- the service' and Money Power'.
He said that he is contesting the election with limited resources but with a mission to serve his people against an unexpectedly costly election campaigning. "This time people of Jammu west are going to prefer service, merit and commitment of the contesting candidates and they cannot be dogged on the basis of party politics only, he said. "Last time people believed their candidates who in turn indulged in cross voting to mint such huge money that the party itself disqualified them having to curtain its deception and the people of Jammu west constituency suffered for six years being un attended by its MLA. Now they have come up again with an appeal not to consider the candidate but the party" he said. Seeking vote for the Congress, Shingari appealed the voters to give him a chance so that he can serve the constituency with commitment and dedication. Anil Chopra president DCC, P S Chouhan, DCC general Secretary, J L Koul and Joginder Singh (Block Presidents) and other Congress leaders also accompanied the Congress candidate in poll campaigning. |
