Modi Govt caught on back foot | Increasing Fidayeen attacks | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 6: With increasing Fidayeen and naxal attacks in the country, the BJP which had made claims to contain the terrorism by taking a tough posture against the Pakistan and those who are harboring terrorism in the country has been caught on back foot now. Since it assumed power the Narendra Modi led Government at Centre has failed to take any tough stance against Pakistan as well the naxalites. Both Pak trained Fidayeen as well as nxalites have spread a reign of terror in the country with killing of hundreds of innocent people. During last six months the NDA Government at Centre has also failed to frame a concrete strategy to weed out the terrorism or naxalism from the country who are eating up the vitals of the society. The failure of Union Government has also given an opportunity to opposition parties to target Modi and BJP and reminded it that during the UPA rule whenever such attacks took place BJP never left any opportunity in targeting the Manmohan Singh Government whom it blamed of adopting weakened polices against terrorism. But the stated since the BJP took over power at Centre and not only Pak indulged in border firing in J&K forcing thousands of border people to migrate from their homes and hearths for safety but it also triggered a Fidayeen attack in Abdulian area of RS Pura recently. This was followed by four Fidayeen attacks in Kashmir Valley yesterday in which 13 people including 10 security men were killed. This is a horrible situation as Pakistan has not changed its policy towards India and instead continued its rigid posture on the directives of the terrorist outfits operating on the soil of Pakistan having direct links with Taliban or other dreaded militant outfits operating in different parts of world. In view of the increasing Fidayeen attacks the Union Government has come to a severe criticism for not adopting a concrete strategy to curb the Pakistan and terrorism. Some analysts are of the opinion that there has been direct involvement of Pakistan in these attacks after the recent hate India speech given by Hafiz Sayeed and anti India propaganda made by former Pakistan president Gen Pervez Musharaf, they want India should adopt a tough posture against Pakistan. |
