POONCH, Dec 7 : Glamorous Club defeated LOC Cricket Club by a margin of 25 runs to clinch the 2nd Manjeet Singh Memorial Twenty20 Tournament held here today.
Earlier, batting first, Glamorous Club set a target of 147 runs in the allotted overs. Sachin and Sahil were main scorers with 42 and 40 runs respectively. From LOC Club, Firdos took three wickets while Aquib bagged two.
In reply, LOC failed to attain the goal losing all their wickets for 121 runs in 19.5 overs. Asif and Yasir were main contributors to the total with 34 and 31 runs in their respective accounts. In the final and valedictory function, District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, Mohd Hussain Malik was chief guest while SSP Poonch, was guest of honour. Speaking to the gathering, the DDC appreciated the Shaheed Manjeet Singh Club for engaging the young in constructive activities. |
