BJP working overtime for one lakh gathering at PM's rally
Security grid on high alert, mobile services could be suspended

Srinagar, Dec 7: BJP Kashmir is putting in all out efforts to ensure a gathering of over one lakh gathering at the Sher-i-kashmir stadium tomorrow where Prime minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address an elections rally. Taking challenge to conduct a rally in Srinagar amid Separatist rant of poll boycott and bitter opposition to BJP's Kashmir policy from Mainstream political parties like National Conference and People's Democratic party, office bearers of BJP Kashmir are determined to make the rally best ever in the History of Kashmir.
"One lakh people from all corners of valley are scheduled to reach Srinagar and listen to PM Modi," said Altaf Thakur, BJP media and Publicity Advisor Kashmir division. Pertinently all separatist factions including one led by Hardliner Syed Ali shah Geelani have called for Shut down on December 8 in Kashmir to stop people from attending the rally. Mainstream regional political parties of Kashmir often criticise BJP's Kashmir policy openly and challange BJP to win a single seat from Kashmir division with slogans like abrogation of Article 370.
Meanwhile, ahead of the rally, Srinagar in particular was reduced into a fortress due to heavy deployment of forces in every nook and corner to avert any threat of militants. As the venue set for rally, Sher-i-Kashmir Sports stadium has been taken over by security agencies since last week, barricades have been erected to ensure fool proof security arrangements within and outside Srinagar City.
From last three days security forces are checking all vehicles and frisking people leading towards Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium. Top police officers including Director General of Police K. Rajendra, and IG Police Kashmir A.G Mir are themselves monitoring the security arrangements. As rally of PM Modi to seek support for BJP candidates is being held Immediately after attacks carried out by militants at four places on Friday in which 21 people were killed, security agencies may Suspend mobile services in Kashmir during PM's visit.
Pertinently BJP is working on Mission 44 to make new government in Jammu and Kashmir and rally of PM Modi is considered as a major challange for BJP Kashmir wing to show their presence in Kashmir.
