BJP, NC, Cong trying to communalize voters in Jammu: Bhasin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 7: Alleging Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), Congress and National Conference leadership of communalizing voters on religious cards in Jammu province, senior PDP leader Daman Bhasin said that such tactics of these parties are leading the state towards disintegration. Bhasin addressed number of meetings in Lakkar Mandi, Ward number 36 area in Jammu West Assembly constituency and appealed voters to vote in favour of PDP in the assembly elections. Taking a jibe at the incumbent MLA of Jammu West constituency, Bhasin said that the party is leaving no opportunity to garner the votes of public by playing the emotional and religious cards whereas the report card of all the 11 MLAs elected to the house of legislators in the last assembly elections is before the public of Jammu province to decide their fate in this elections. "Safety of borders, packages to refugees settled in Jammu province, development of cities, problem of traffic congestion in cities are some of the issues where the BJP leadership has failed badly but changing their candidates in most of the assembly segments, the party is trying to befool the public knowing the fact that the new candidates are exact replications of the previous ones", said Bhasin. Bhasin further said that as far as National Conference and Congress leadership in the state is concerned, the defeat to their candidates in the Lok Sabha polls was clear indication of the fact that public is frustrated with their polices as well as deceiving tactics and hence the masses no longer want to see them elected in the house of legislatures in future. "PDP emerged as the single largest party in Kashmir region with a lead in 39 assembly segments out of total 46 seats because of its developmental agenda and equitable welfare of all the three regions of the state", said Bhasin. Those senior party leaders who spoke in favour of Bhasin were Rajesh Khajuria, Srishta Khajuria, Suresh Sharma, Arif Ali, Mohd Rafiq, Arshad Ali, Asha Dogra, Bilal Hussain, Kundan Dogra and Talib Hussain. Others who were present in the meetings were R. K Bali, Puneet Jamwal, Geeta Thakur, Davinder Dogra, Tarsem Lal, Majid, Mushtaq Ahmed, Mukesh, Satish Nayar, Raj Kumar Lalotra. |
