| Dainik Jagran present ex-gratia to Shafat family | | |  Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 29: Dainik Jagran Group presented a cheque of Rs 8.92 Lac to the family of Shafat Sidiq, who was drowned in the flood in Kashmir in Sept this year.
The cheque was presented to the family members of Shafat sidiq at his residence by Abhimanyu Sharma Editor (J&K) and General Manager of Dainik Jagran in presence of Speaker and MLA Mubarak Gul.
The cheque was received by Shafat's father Mohammad Sidiq and his wife Yasmeena.
Hailing the move of Dainik Jagran Group to provide financial assistance to the family of Late Shafat Sidiq, the speaker Mubarak Gul said he will also raise the issue of financial help to Shafat Family and others flood victims in the assembly.
Meanwhile President Press Photo Journalist Association Farooq Javed, Senior Photo Journalists Habib Naqash, Nissar Ahmad , Mkhtar Khan, Qazi Irshad Suhail Hameed, Firdous Rahi senior members of concern mohalla Committee and Civil Society members including noted poet and social worker Zareef Ahmad and renowed writer Meraj-ud-din Miskeen were also present on this occasion. Press Photo Journalist Association Kashmir, Mohalla Committee, Civil Society hailed the move of Dainik Jagran and paid their gratitude to the Chief Editor and CEO of Dainik Jagran Sanjay Gupta.
The Shafat who is survived by aged parents, wife, two years old son and two sisters was working as a photographer at Dainik Jagran Srinagar bureau for the last nine years. |
