Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 29: Member Legislative Assembly Kishtwar and National Youth Executive Member of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Sunil Sharma today said that all the modalities regarding government formation in Jammu and Kashmir have been completed but the only hiccup is Chief Minister's post. Asked whether PDP's Mufti Mohammad Sayeed would be the next Chief Minister of BJP-PDP alliance or BJP Chief Minister would head the government, Sharma said, "All the modalities regarding government formation have been completed. There is only one hiccup i.e. Chief Minister's post. I am sure that BJP will be the part of the next government and hope that BJP would head it too." Asked about different political ideologies between People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and BJP, who are likely to form the next government in JK, Sharma said, "There is no doubt about the fact that political ideologies of BJP and PDP are different but these can be left aside for the sake of welfare and development of people of the state." He said that PDP has got mandate from Kashmir division while BJP got it from Jammu division. "If PDP and BJP join hands they would have to rise above their ideologies for smooth functioning of the government," Sharma told Early Times. "We are not going to mix ideologies while forming the coalition government in the state. We are moving forward with the people friendly agenda. Our main aim is to address the issues and problems faced by the people and any party which agrees to be the part on the government on these lines is welcome to join hands with BJP," he said. Sharma said, "Party will not compromise with sovereignty, development and regional imbalance. BJP is ready to form the government with any party which agrees on these three conditions." He said that party's top leadership is in constant touch with various political parties of the state. "There is no question of liking PDP or National Conference whosoever agrees to the conditions laid down by the party, BJP would like to join hands with it," he added. |
