| Karbalai opposes PDP-BJP alliance | | Says Mufti has to act wisely | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 29 : Ladakh unit of Congress led by Karbali has said that PDP-BJO alliance would prove disastrous for the PDP.
Talking to early times, Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh autonomous Hill Development council (LAHDC) of Kargil District and candidate of Congress, Haji Asgar Ali Karabalai said that 'given the fractured verdict, the PDP leadership has to act wisely.
"At Present we don't have anybody who can be compared with Mufti Muhammad Syed but his silence raises many questions. I suggest he should take a bold decision at this moment and stop thinking too much," he said.
He said that PDP has more than one options to form government in Jammu and Kashmir and more importantly a golden chance to prove to common masses of people of Kashmir and Ladakh as well who voted overwhelmingly against BJP that they (PDP) actually succeeded to restrict BJP to certain constituencies of the state as per their commitments during their campaigning across the state and added that 'incase PDP failed to do so and decided to tie knot with BJP, their decision to form government would simply mean end of Political career of PDP leadership in general.'
Replying to the question of abrogation of Article 370 and revocation of AFSPA, Karbalai said that 'for Congress at least these were never issues and Mufti Muhammad Syed must not worry for anything and move ahead to form government with one of the parties having secular mind bent he would like to and end the ongoing political chaos in the state.
Karbalai rejected the statements of BJP leadership that BJP represents majority society of Jammu and Kashmir which include Jammu and Ladakh Divisions of the state, Karbalai said that he does not know where BJP exists in Ladakh and with what agenda among peace loving people of the region and added that like Kashmiries, people of Ladakh in unison defeated BJP candidates in recently concluded assembly elections with big margins as according to him in Nobra BJP candidate was at third number, in Leh, BJP candidate was defeated with seven thousand and seven hundred votes and in Kargil, BJP candidate could not save his credibility and lost the security deposit as well due to poor performance. |
