jammu, Dec 29: National Secular Forum (NSF) continues protests against Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University for one post- one man.
Addressing media persons, National Secular Forum (NSF) University President Qayoom Malik said that administrative machinery of Jammu University is not working properly as per expectations of student, which is adversely affecting their studies.
"As per norms, one man should hold one post only. And what is happening on the campus is contrary to the rules. A group of professors occupies more than three or more key posts which eventually affect the students as well as administrative functioning of the varsity," Malik said. "Instead of adhocism and giving additional charge to some favorites', the Vice-Chancellor should go for a viable solution by filling these posts on permanent basis," he said. Qayoom Malik University President NSF said that it was very surprising that few professors have holding around four key positions of Varsity, inspite of directions of Chancellor of University of Jammu NN Vohra, directing varsity authorities to appoint one man on each post but the varsity administration, decree fall on deaf ears.He said that Dr Manoj K Dhar has been occupying five key positions in the university. Dr Manoj K Dhar has been portion as Register. Dhar is also holding the charge of Director, School of Biotechnology, which comprises three wings, bio-chemistry, microbiology and bio-technology, Co-ordinater DST Special Science Package.
He said Prof.Rajnikant has been portion as Director Ramnagar Campus. He is also holding the charge of Director, ASC. Prof.Dhian Singh Bhau has been given the charge of Director Physical Education, University of Jammu and also holding the charge of Director, Yoga. He added that another senior Prof.Jasber Singh has been given the charge of Provost Boys Hostel, Chairman NSS, besides Head FM Centre in campus. He also said that Prof.Vivek Gupta has been given the charge of Chief central Library and HOD Physics Department. He further said that some more professor of Ju has been occupies more than two or more key posts. "We fail to understand that how a person occupying more than one post delivers justice with the administration as well as the students," Qayoom Malik said while questioning the rationale behind such move. Among those who were present in the protest included,Sunny Babber , Barket Ali, Vikram Madhyal, JV Singh, Gopal Singh, PP Singh, Amit Sanotra, Rishikesh Rana, Pawan Kumar, Javed Iqbal, Varun, Anees Charak, Narinder Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Hari Kumar, Bhupinder Singh and others. |
