POONCH, Jan 9: Power House Club won the inaugural match in sub-junior category in the District Poonch Hockey Championship got underway at Sports Stadium, here today. To make it to the next round of the competition, Power House Club defeated Baba Bandha Singh Bahadur Hockey Club by three goals to nil. Nasir, Harsh and Vishal sounded the board in the 15th, 41st and 48th minute of the match.
Earlier, the event was declared open by Station House Officer (SHO), Poonch, Raqesh Akram, who was chief guest. Others present were Nirdosh Kumar, Narjeet Singh, Ravinder Singh and Mushtaq Ahmed.
This tournament is organised by Hockey Poonch under the aegis of Hockey Jammu and Kashmir. Today's matches officiated by the technical penal comprising Rohit Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Sohil Azeem and Amandeep Singh under the supervision of vice-president of the Hockey Poonch, Sham Lal Sharma. |
