PG Law Sciences, Sarveshwar Club register win in ongoing 3rd Christmas T-20 Cup for College Students, J&K Cricketers

Jammu, Jan 9: PG Law & Sciences of Jammu University and Sarveshwar club today registered win and enters in the next round of Quarter Finals in the ongoing 3rd Christmas Twenty-20 Cricket Cup for College Students and J&K Cricketers at Parade Cricket Ground.
Malik Aijaz, Physical Director of the Commerce College , was the Chief Guest in today’s matches who was introduced with the participating teams. While speaking on the occasion, Aijaz conveyed his best wishes to the participating teams for their best performance in this tournament.
Earlier, in the first match, PG Law Sciences defeated Commerce College by 27 runs.
Batting first, PG Law Sciences scored 129 runs in stipulated 18 overs for loss of 4 wkts. Gourav scored 69 runs , Nadeem scored 13 runs & Sahil scored 13 runs whereas from Commerce College, Monu took 2 wickets, while Aditya and Mohit took 1 wicket each.
Commerce College in reply could not manage to achieve the target and made only 102 runs in 17.2 overs for loosing all wickets and lost the match by 27 runs. Somay Jain scored 38 runs, Mohit made 30 runs and Subrat scored 12 runs . For PG Law, Sahil took 4 wickets ,Vinay took 3 wickets while Rahul and Rohit shared a wicket for his team. Gourav was declared man of the Match.
In the second match, Sarveshwar scripted a comfortable win against Strickers XI.
Batting 1st , Sarveshwar made 118 runs in 18 overs for 6 wickets, Sunil scored 31 runs , Narotam scored 23 runs while for Strickers XI, Parshant took 2 wickets, Sahil also took 2 wickets, Ritik & Surinder shared 1 wicket each.
In reply,Strickers XI could not achieve the target and scored 103 in 17.3 overs for the loss all wickets. Sachin scored 33 runs , Vishal scored 24 runs and Mohit scored 17 runs were the main scorers. Pardeep took 4 wickets, Narotam took 3 wickets , Sunil, Ankush and Kavit shared 1 wicket. Narotam was adjudged as Man of the Match.
The matches were officiated by Sanju, Suhail Yusuf, Vinod and Farooq and the Organizing Committee of the tournament includes Shakeel Beig DIG Jammu, Fr. Kuriakose Chairman CSO, SR Mishra IPS AIG CIV, Hilal Rather MD Simula, Sanjeev Khajuria SSP Principal PTS Kathua, Pawan Parihar SSP Kathua, Ashok Sharma SO to IG Jammu, Rajnish Pran SO to DIG Jammu, Parshotam Sharma DDP RPHQ, Nicodemus Advisor CSO, Victor Sotra Vice President CSO, Asif Gill Joint Secy.CSO, Vijay Saberwal President Parade Sports Org., Anil Mahajan Gen.Secy. Parade Sports Association, David Mattoo Incharge Conduct Committee, William Mattoo Sports Secy.CSO and the Officiating committee includes Rajesh Dhar, Sunil Sambyal ,RP Singh, Sudhir Singh, Sadiq Hussain, Suhail Yusuf, Sandeep Manchanda, Nitu Khokher, Vinod Kandyara, Abhijyot Singh ,Yogesh Sharma and Rajesh Gill Former Ranji Player & Chief Prosecuting Officer was the Organizing Secretary of the tournament.
Matches for 1oth of Jan will be played between, Sr. Advocates XI v/s Choudhary XI at 9.30 am and Aircel XI v/s Atman Sports XI at 1 :00 pm.
