| Meeting regarding DAS convened at Ramban/Reasi | | | Early Times Report
ramban, Jan 9: The migration of analog system of TV transmission through Cable to Digital Addressable Mode in all the municipalities and rural areas of district Ramban under Phase III was reviewed by DDC Ramban Farooq Shah Bukhari in his office Chambers at Ramban.
DDC discussed in detail the digitization process with all the participants. Cable operators were informed that the preparations with regard to migration from analog to digital mode shall be reviewed in a time bound manner and the cable operators said that they have procured some of the equipments and are in the process of acquiring further within two months so that the target is achieved well before 31st of Dec 2015.
For mass awareness about the programme, DDC told that the District Information Officer Ramban in coordination with other departments and Cable operators shall organize awareness camps so that common public can be motivated to shift to digital mode.
Similarly at Reasi also a meeting to discuss "Action Plan for Digitization of Cable Network" of Reasi district was held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Shiv Kumar Gupta.
During the meeting, ADC said that if people have any complaints about the content, quality, distribution or pricing of cable network they can contact office of District Magistrate or District Information Center Reasi.
Representatives of digital and cable television networks attended the meeting. |
