Partap expresses concern over defunct J&K SHRC with PMO | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: State Secretary Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Partap Singh Jamwal has expressed concern over the defunct Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission with the Prime Minister Office (PMO) through a written application forwarded to the PMO office in New Delhi. Meanwhile Partap has also filed the copy of the same written application with the Union Home Minister, GoI, Law Minister GoI, National Human Right Commission (NHRC), Governor Jammu and Kashmir Raj Bhawan J&K, State President BJP, Spokesperson BJP J&K, State President BJYM. Partap has attached various copies of the acclaimed English newspapers (dailies) of the Jammu and Kashmir to authenticate his claim that State Human Rights Commission sans Chairman and members since long due to the ignorance and neglect of the then Chief Minister of the Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah though he (Omar Abdullah) during his first budget speech had promised that the Commission will never be defunct. He has mentioned in the application the rising numbers of cases of grave human rights violations across the nook and corners of the state especially the far off villages with no Chairman or member to address the grievances of these villagers. Partap has made a fervent appeal to PMO office as well as other Ministers in Union cabinet and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma including Governor of Jammu and Kashmir N N Vohra to personally look into the matter so that the cases filed with the SHRC gets redressed rapidly to ensure justice to the poor population of the state. |
