| Floral tributes paid to Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: Rich floral tributes were paid to Late Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi, wife of Maharaja Dr Karan Singh, Chairman Trustee, J&K Dharmarth Trust, and mother of Vikramaditya Singh and Ajat Shatru Singh on her 77th birth anniversary today.
In this connection a function was organized by J&K Dharmarth Trust in the Ranvireshwar Ji Temple Complex at Shalamar in which Vikramaditya Singh, Major General Rtd. R S Jamwal President Dharmarth Trust, Shashi Khajuria, Secretary and other staff members and officials of the Trust participated.
A Hawan was also performed on this occasion in which large number of devotees also participated. A puja was also performed in the memory of the late Maharani Yasho Rajya Lakshmi. Her photo was garlanded and the participants offered flowers to the photo in order to pay tributes.
Paying tributes to his mother Vikramaditya Singh recalled her role as a mother and a great social worker and said that she had dedicated herself to the cause of the society in general and women folk in particular.
He said that she took active part in social activities throughout her life.
Blankets and clothes were distributed among the poor and needy people at YASHO-KARAN Park temple complex Shalamar. |
