| GGM Science College organizes NSS Annual Winter Camp | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 5: NSS unit of GGM Science College, Jammu organised valedictory function NSS Annual Winter Camp 2014-15 under the supervision of Prof. Rajinder Singh, NSS Programme officer of the College.
The Chief Guest of the occasion was Prof. Tariq Ahmad Kawoos, Director Colleges, Higher Education Department. The function was inaugurated by the chief guest in presence of Prof. (Dr.) Satinder Singh, Nodal Principal, Jammu Division Colleges.
A number of faculty members alongwith large number of NSS volunteers participated in the function. The guests were welcomed by the NSS Programme officer who also gave the details of the activities which were undertaken by the NSS volunteers during the camp.
He also mentioned the various activities of the units during the current academic year. Principal in his address appreciated the role of NSS units of the College for organizing the camp.
He advised the volunteers to work hard by carrying out the aims and the objective of NSS movement.
While, Prof. Tariq Ahmad Kawoos applauding the NSS units of the college and said that these events inculcate the moral values amongst the students in addition to their studies which is very essential as younger generation of today are the future of any nation. He said that energy of the youth should be channelized in a positive direction for the betterment of the society.
Later, a cultural programme was presented by the NSS volunteers.
Among others who were present in the included Prof. Ashok Kumar, HoD Chemistry, Prof. Mohinder Singh, Prof. Pinki Manhas, NCC officer and Dr. Vinod Bakshi , Physical Director. The prizes for the best NSS volunteers were distributed by the chief guest during the prize distribution. |
