ACR Ramban directs NT to stop illegal crusher installation

Jammu, Feb 5: Taking cognizance of a news story published in Early Times in its Jan 19 edition titled "Installation of crusher illegally: Administration caught unaware", Collector Land Acquisition Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Ramban has directed the Tehsildar Dhandrath to furnish the actual report and stop/ban the illegal installation of crusher if any company is found violating the laid norms.
Early Times has the copy of the order bearing number DCR/SQ/ADMR/ Dated 04/05/2015 which was forwarded to the Naib Tehsildar Dhandrath by the Collector Land Acquisition Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) directing him to stop the illegal construction if it is found violating the norms.
The actual content of the order reads, "Kindly refer to the subject of illegal construction of crusher and extraction of stone at Karol near Degree College Ramban which is within dwelled area and quarrying near Karol Kumate Road & Karol Kundi Nalla which is clear violation of The Court and Law. Therefore, keeping the above facts into consideration, you are directed to visit on the spot and submit the actual report on the above said matter to this office at an earliest. Moreover, you are also directed to stop/ban such illegal construction/extractions". The copy of the order has also been forwarded to the Tehsildar Ramban for information and necessary action.
It may be recalled that Early Times pinpointed violation of norms by a Delhi based company namely M/S Milith Karv Engineering and Trading Company Limited, New Delhi, camp office Batote as the company intended to construct/install a crusher at a site which was in the close vicinity of Government Degree College Ramban in Karol Koondi village which was against the laid down norms. The illegal construction was brought to the notice of District Administration as well as Early Times by one Gulchain Singh, who owned a piece of land near the construction site, noticed some pillars erected for the purpose of establishing a crusher.
