JU Business School begins 2 day management fest on Youtharva 2015 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 5: Two day management fest on 'Youtharva-2015' started at The Business School, University of Jammu unfolding series of activities wherein a total number of twelve participating business management institutes competed in a highly stimulating and intellectually challenging competitive environment. On the occasion, Mushtaq Ahmad, Chairman and CEO of the J&K Bank was the Chief Guest on the occasion and addressing the students of the School and the participating teams from twelve Management Institutions across the state, he emphasized upon the need for building an organizational climate where each and every employee needs to have a long term vision for not only developing businesses but rather 'building businesses'. He also focused upon improving the skill set of the students to make them suitable for the job market and said that the quality of the product is absolutely essential for building the institutions of excellence. Earlier, Professor Versha Mehta, Director, The Business School and Convener Fest while welcoming all the dignitaries and the participating institutions to the Inaugural Function dwelled upon the need to shift focus of the academic institutions from being teaching centric to 'learning centric', so as to create learning environments within the class room situations. She also emphasized upon the need for learning by doing and said that such events enable the students to take up initiatives so as to excel in their chosen future careers. Prof. Keshav Sharma, Convener Board of Studies in Business Management and Controller of Examinations, University of Jammu in his address lauded the efforts of the students in their whole hearted participation in the events. He said that such a participation in competitive events is paramount to the wholesome development of the students. |
