DDC Samba reviews Bhathinda- Jmu-Sgr Natural Gas Pipe Line Project T V R Shenoy 2/5/2015 11:14:28 PM Early Times Report Vijaypur, Feb 5: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Samba Sheetal Nanda today chaired a high level meeting of officers of Revenue Department Samba and officials of Natural Gas Pipe Line Project popularly known as Bhathinda-Jammu-Srinagar Natural Gas Pipe Line Project to review the present status of the project. The Meeting was attended by the Advisor, Abdul Hamid Advisor Gas Pipe Line Project J&K, ACR Samba Sonu Pargal, SDM Vijaypur and Ghagwal, all Tehsildars/ Naib Tehsildars and officers/officials of Gas Pipe Line Project. During the meeting chairperson was apprised that the pipe line would pass in the vicinity of NHAI from Kathua, Samba, Jammu upto Srinagar via Udhampur, Ramban, Anantnag. "It was further informed that the project is eco-friendly and pollution free and carries investment of about Rs 1000 Cr approximately in J & K State, official spokesperson said, adding that the project further shall open avenues of employment to youth in City Gas Distribution (CGD) outsourcing in all districts, besides financial investment through activities like lateral connectivity, revenue etc.In her address DDC Samba Ms Nanda impressed the revenue officers present in the meeting to co-ordinate with the Gas Pipe Line Project authorities enabling them to expedite and complete the work. Earlier, advisor of the project Abdul Hamid briefed the different aspects of the project and discussed different aspects of project and progress till date.
