Patients suffering as junior docs go on indefinite strike

Jammu, Feb 5: Patients and their attendants are suffering as junior doctors of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)'s went on indefinite strike as they demanding registered FIR against alleged misbehaviour by a patient's attendant with a woman doctor. Addressing the media persons, working president of Resident Doctors Assocation, Dr Neeraj Sharma said alleged that the principal of hospital has failed to register FIR against allegedly accused despite assurance and he is sheltering the allegedly accused. He demanded immediate security arrangements inside the emergency block, curtailment in number of attendants with patients in the hospital and improvement in infrastructure. The strike will continue until, the demands are met.
Owing to poor patients and their attendants facing tough time as as junior doctors refused to attend to their duties in emergency and other wards of the hospital.
