JAMMU, Feb 5 : One Day Orientation Workshop, organized by Song and Drama Division, in collaboration with Union Ministry of Women and Child Development and Mission Directorate, ICDS, J&K Govt, was held here in K.L.Sehgal Hall, Canal Road, today. The theme was "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao".
Mission Director, ICDS, Dr. G. N. Itoo inaugurated the workshop by lighting the traditional lamp. About 170 artists attended the workshop.
Speaking on the occasion, the Mission Director said that "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" programme was started January 20 this year at Panipat in Haryana aimed to protect girl child. He said the Centre Government has launched various programmes like Souach Bharat Abhiyan, Corruption free India and Digital India, adding that need is to connect with the communities from their homes to increase their involvement in this noble mission. |
