NPP expresses concern over worst traffic system | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 5 : Zonal President Jammu JKNPP Neeraj Gupta along with his supporters and party workers strongly raised the issue of the worst condition of traffic system in the Jammu city especially the road to words high court from Rehari Chungi Ambphalla Newplot, Talab Tillo and Jewel Canal road. He emphasized that this situation become worst when due to opening of secretariat in Jammu the vehicle on the road increased 30 to 40 % but it is very strange that the administration pays no heed and takes no effective measures to improve the traffic system. The people dies due to heavy jam the ambulance cannot reach to the GMC in time and School Student and employees cannot reach their destinations in time. He said that out of two Fly Over project one fly over project on BC Road Shukantla Crossing Rehari Chungi Ambphalla worth Rs. 30 Crores which was approved and sanctioned by the state Government during 2007, connecting Shakuntla crossing with Rehari Chungi and Ambhalla near petrol Pump easing traffic load on this bottle neck and also on New Plot, Janipur, High Court Road was dropped merely on the ground that the state declined to bear the cost of land compensation to the people whose land was to be acquired for this project. He appealed Governor N.N Vohara to immediately take the necessary measures so that this much awaited project which should have been completed decade ago. |
