Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 5: Senior Congress leader, Sham Lal Sharma has accused Prime Minister, Narender Modi of sacking Union Home Secretary, Anil Goswami to please a cabinet minister. Sharma said Goswami was sacked at the behest of RSS to saffronise the top bureaucracy. "The union government has murdered principles of governance which lay emphasis on competence of a person and not his ideology," he said. . The Congress leader said that Goswami's 37-year meritorious career was spoiled by those who have been talking about good governance. Lal described the sacking as an insult to people of Jammu. He said it reflected BJP's anti-Jammu stance. "If competent people like Goswami are victimized to satisfy the ego of an individual, what will happen to the country," he questioned. Goswami is the first IAS officer from Jammu who reached to the highest position of Union Home Secretary, in last 67 years, due to his merit, intellect, caliber and capabilities. He is held in high esteem by the people of Jammu for his integrity, honesty and dedication. |
