Jammu, Feb 25: The Vice Chancellor of Jammu University (JU), Prof Ramji Dass Sharma has bye-passed all established norms and violated the rules while selecting Assistant Professors in various teaching departments just to extend undue benefits to his blue-eyed candidates.
This was alleged by President Jammu Youth Forum (JYF), Deepak Kumar here today.
Addressing media-persons here today, Deepak Kumar mentioned that the screening process adopted by the JU for short listing the candidates for interview was illegal as the same was not adopted under established norms. "The JU Vice Chancellor has resorted to his whims and fancies to fix the screening criterion which is not adopted in legal manner," he stated.
"To fill the various vacant positions of Assistant Professors in different departments, the JU authorities constituted a Committee of Campus Deans to deliberate upon screening criteria to be adopted for selection of Assistant Professors.
The committee in its meeting held on May 13, 2016 resolved to constitute a Sub-Committee of Deans to look into the same.
The Sub-Committee held its meet on May 20, 2016 and resolved that criteria adopted by Kashmir University vide University Council Resolution No. 4.26.1 be adopted for short listing of the candidates for the already advertised positions," he explained. |
