Early Times Report

Anantnag, Feb 25: In an unprecedented development, the district administration of Anantnag on last Friday allowed a scamster of an infamous paper leak scandal to meet interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma.
The development has however apparently lowered the sanctity of whole process and sent shock waves across.
According to reports, the man- one of the accused in infamous BOPEE scam- met the interlocutor along with a group of youth representing Peoples Democratic Party in the district.
The PDP youth group which previously managed and supervised the implementation of center sponsored 'Khelo India' program in the district later claimed to have discussed the Kashmir situation with the New Delhi appointed Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma.
The scamster-who was part of the Youth PDP group-posed for photographs with the interlocutor and later, circulated them on social media networking sites including Facebook.
However it wasn't clear as to transpired between the scamster and but the meeting has definitely put a question mark on the credibility of the exercise. Important to recall here, Crime branch after investigation revealed CET-2012 papers along with answer keys were sold for Rs 60 lakh. Kindpin Mushtaq Peer and over 50 others, accused in the case, were charge-sheeted in FIR 24/2013 Under Section 420, 120B RPC, 5(2)d r/w (5(2) PC Act) Police Station Crime Branch. Among the accused included beneficiary students and parents besides the brokers.
The man who met Interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma on Friday was a broker and has spent two years in jail. An officer pleading anonymity opined that the meeting should have been avoided He said that such developments lower the sanctity and credibility of such exercises.
"It's the moral responsibility of district administration and ruling parties to ensure sane and credible voices and people meet the interlocutor Dineshwar Sharma," he said, adding administration has started taking the visits of interlocutor for granted.
This is not for the first time that key accused of BOPEE scam was spotted with PDP Youth Leaders.
"Most of the time they visit government offices and introduce themselves as the members of Chief Minister's grievance Cell," sources informed.
They revealed that group claiming to be members of PDP youth wing were enjoying patronage of not only youth PDP leaders but of senior PDP leaders of parent wing as well.
