Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 25: Close on the heels of allegations of backdoor job to Syed Aroot Madni son of senior PDP leader Sartaj Madni in Khadi board, Social Welfare Minister Sajjad Lone has come under scanner for giving job to daughter of senior PDP leader Peerzada Mansoor Hussain.
Official documents, a copy of which lies with Early Times, reveal that Social Welfare Departmentheaded by Sajjad Lone has offered job to Rufaida Mansoor at a monthly salary of Rs 20,000 per month.
Official documents reveal that the recruitment has been made by the State Mission Directorate, Integrated Child Development Scheme vide order number 231 SMO of 2018 dated 24 -2-2018. Quoting sources, Early Times had already reported that there were apprehensions of favoritism in the recruitments being made by the State Mission Directorate, Integrated Child Development Scheme.
A senior PDP leader said for the past few months, Sajjad Lone enjoys "good chemistry" with the Peerzada Mansoor, a development which has even surprised the PDP high command including Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. A senior official in the Social Welfare Department said the full name of the candidate including her caste were not mentioned on the selection list lest people become aware of the alleged favoritism.
"The family had requested us not to publish their khandaan in the selection list lest any one gets to know about the matter," said an official in the Social Welfare Department.
Though the news of alleged favoritism in the recruitment has leaked to social media taking the internet by storm, what is shocking is that Sajjad Lone is understood to have told the officials "not to worry about the consequences."
"Mantri Ji told us that we need not worry about such public outcries on social media as he enjoys good relations with the corridors of power in New Delhi," said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
While confirming that the selection list has been released, the official said: "Don't make a mountain out of molehill. Doesn't someone known to mantri ji have the right to get a job in his department?"
Despite repeated attempts Sajjad Lone and Peerzada Mansoor couldn't be contacted for comments.
