| Nowshera, Sunderbani showdown for district status continues | | Normal life jeopardized | |  AB Sharma

Rajouri, Feb 28: The continuous agitation of people of Sunderbani Sub Division, Nowshera Sub Division of District Rajouri for their demand of district status for their respective areas has paralyzed the normal life.
All business establishments remained closed for consecutive tenth day today but the indifference of the government for not taking their demands seriously has been giving rise to the anger among the people. They alleged that government has become mute spectator in this connection. They further alleged that if Government can sanction ADC post for Kotranka then what are the reasons for denying district status to Sunderbani, Nowshera Tehsils which are larger in area and population .
The neglect of government towards these areas in terms of the development has led to vigorous agitation, which people are determined to prolong till the government conceded to their demand.
Due to agitation coupled with bandh, the people have been facing huge difficulties and inconvenience to meet daily needs, shockingly, the medical shops are closed in some areas due to which people with health problems are worst affected. Other essential services have affected severely the routine life of common people. They said that Government should hold talks with the representative of the area to resolve the issue amicably but government seems in deep slumber as till date nobody from administration has come forward to discuss the issue. |
