Dismissal of BJP-PDP Govt is only option to save state: Harsh
JKNPP celebrates 36th foundation day
3/23/2018 10:18:42 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 23: Seeking the dismissal of the BJP-PDP Govt in the state, Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman said that unprecedented deterioration of law and order situation, breakdown of administrative machinery and collapse of socio-politico-constitutional system in the state needed due cognizance of the central govt without further loss of time.
He said that lack of political will, disregard for public sentiment, betrayal of people's aspirations by the unholy combine, coupled with burgeoning corruption, maladministration, utter lack of Accountability and Transparency have created a situation which can at best be described as "constitutional failure" within the meaning and scope of sec 92 of the State constitution calling for imposition of Governor's Rule.
He said feels that as long as the unethical alliance continued in the state, the situation would continue to deteriorate and worsen and could reach a point of no return. He was addressing a convention on 36th foundation day of JKNPP.
Asserting that Re-organization of the state was the need of the hour, Singh called for creation of separate states for Jammu and Kashmir with a UT status for Ladakh. He said that with re-organization being the ultimate remedy, the govt needed to immediately fulfil its assurance of early delimitation of Assembly constituencies in the state so as to ensure equitable share of Assembly seats to various regions of the state.
He regretted the raw deal given to the issues of West Pak Refugees besides the IB and LOC dwellers who had been assured of reasonable compensation, govt jobs, plots at safer zones besides proper rehabilitation measures. He regretted the inordinate, inexplicable delay in the comprehensive settlement of POJK migrants who were assured of timely redressal of their genuine grievances and claims.
On the occasion, Harsh Dev Singh announced the suspension of state level youth and student bodies and authorized Balwant Singh Mankotia and Yash Paul Kundal to reconstitute the same within a period of three months.
